Beach and Bay Volleyball Club’s mission is to provide superior instruction to aspiring volleyball players and equip these young athletes with the tools to succeed both on the court and throughout their lives. The impact of organized sports on developing athletes is undeniable, and our focus as coaches is not only helping our players master the fundamentals of volleyball, but also fostering the development of a hard work ethic, sportsmanship, and being part of a team.
Our coaching staff has, on average, over 12 years of volleyball coaching experience and many have competed and/or coached collegiately as well as internationally. As coaches, we thrive on instilling younger athletes with our knowledge of – and passion for – the game of volleyball.
Beach and Bay Volleyball Club competes in the local Spike-Fest tournaments, and our practices are held at Francis Parker High School. Our season begins with Evaluations in November and after 6 tournaments, finishes in late May. Our 12s teams practice once per week and our 14s and 16s teams both have 2 practices each week. This year, Beach and Bay teams will have the option of traveling and competing in regional SCVA events in addition to the Spike Fest tournaments. Exposing our athletes to higher levels of volleyball is key to their development.
Beach and Bay is designed to give young volleyball players the skills to succeed at higher levels of competition. Many of our players graduate from Beach and Bay and are invited to play for some of San Diego’s top traveling club teams as well as earning positions on their high schools’ JV and Varsity teams. |
